Inaugural issue of the Estudos afro-brasileiros (Afro-Brazilian Studies) Journal, with the theme Afro-Brazilian Theology. The theme is discussed based on the framework proposed by FTU (Faculdade de Teologia Umbandista), the first and only one within the scope of Afro-Brazilian religions authorized, accredited and recognized by MEC, founded by F. Rivas Neto. There are also articles in the In Memoriam section. In addition to the articles, there is a section, entitled Religion and Society, with a text by professor PhD Reginaldo Prandi, book reviews related to the subject and, finally, the Theological Dictionary of the Afro-Brazilian religions, a collaborative, free-access and open for contributions dictionary, under permanent update, with the first entries. Good readings!
