Journal Description
Revista Estudos Afro-Brasileiros, publication of the Ordem Iniciática do Cruzeiro Divino, was conceived and developed by Mother Maria Elise Rivas (PhD in Sciences of Religion at PUC-SP and director of the Ordem Iniciática do Cruzeiro Divino) to disseminate and provide a channel for reflection within the scope of Afro-Brazilian culture. Therefore, it proposes to give voice and turn to all researchers of similar themes, whether they are anthropologists, historians, sociologists, theologians, among others, in order to provide the public with quality and accessible content. Its frequency is six-monthly and the submission of articles, evaluated by reviewers of the OICD Editorial Board, is open to the public.

Vol. 4 No. 1 (2024): Afro-Brazilian Dialogues: Education, Science, and Technology
The Estudos afro-brasileiros Journal reaches its fourth volume, in its fourth year of existence and contribution, which has added knowledge and shared wisdom about the richness and diversity of Afro-Brazilian culture and religions. Such existence has fostered reflections and dialogues with academia and Brazilian society in general, since the African diaspora is part of our lives, inside or outside academia, even if we do not perceive or value it. Thus, this journal brings articles on education, Afro-Brazilian theology, culture, and society.
